Heat embossing with Digis

Hello friends

We are guest designing for Varada Sharma using one of her new digital stamps.

We used Begonia, designed by a lovely crafter, Varada Sharma. You can find the digital image here. It is a freebie. She is actually offering three floral digis. 

Have you ever tried heat embossing with digital stamps? If not, then you are missing on some fun. To know how we did heat embossing, hop onto her blog.

We used Begonia (digital stamp for June) by Varada Sharma. We used Craftyscrappers shimmer paste and Sunburst stencil for the background. Don't you love the shimmer?

Floral Birthday card

Hello friends
We are back with a floral card.
We used Carnations stamp set by Mudra. We did stencilling and used shimmer paste by Craftyscrappers for some texture and shimmery look. We cut the shimmery panel into two, this way we can two panels and also add some angle to the card.

Alien Life

Hello friends
We have something different to share with you.
We have made a scene on an old tape roll. We made galaxy background using ink pad. We spread shimmer paste through stencil. We used alien images from Creative Expressions stamps.

Tutorial:

Materials required:
Old, empty tape roll
White cardstock
Sparkle/ shimmer paste
Stencil
Stamped, colored and fussy cut images
Black acrylic paint
Ink pads and Blending foam- for the background (You may use any coloring medium- watercolor/ acrylic paints to make the background)
Double sided foam tape
Pencil and scissors

Method:
Start by painting the tape roll black using acrylic paint (or any other paint).
Place the tape roll on white card stock, trace the outline using pencil and cut it using scissors.
Now using ink pads and blending foam, do ink blending to make the background. Let it dry.
Place stencil over the ink blended base, apply shimmer paste through the stencil. 
Remove and wash the stencil. Let it dry.
Now using foam tape, place the stamped images on the base and stick it.
Ta-da, your project is ready!

Fairy painting

Hello friends,

This is my painting on watercolor paper, my first try with watercolor paper. (I know I have to practice a lot.)
I made a background, then put shimmer paste through Stars stencil. Finished with sticking a fairy.

Dress shaped Gift Box

Hello friends,

We are here to share our  DT inspiration post for Craftyscrappers using newly launched Craftyscrappers April Card Kit.

We have made a dress-shaped gift box, it can be used to give small gifts. It will definitely be a hit among young girls. We enjoyed experimenting with newly released ink-pads and dazzle paste. 

Supplies used-
White card stock
Craftyscrappers Ink pad- Lavender
Dazzle paste- Orchid
Shimmer paste- Jingle bells
Embellishments
Paper doily
Pencil
Scissors

Method- 
Draw the template on a white cardstock.
Dab the ink pad (lavender)  on acetate or flat palette.
Take some dazzle paste, mix the ink and paste well using little bit of water. You will achieve a tint of lavender in the paste.

Paint this paste on the cardstock in the lower part of the dress.
Spread shimmer paste on the upper part of the dress. Let it dry, cut the dress.
Stamp "happy birthday" on  white cardstock, cut it. Attach it to the box using thread.
Stick the flap of the sides to the edge of the dress.
Stick the embellishments around the neckline of the dress.
Stick a doily and flowers for decorating the box.

Our dress-shaped gift box is ready, you can use it as treat holder.

Holi Pop-up Box Card

Hello friends

This is our DT project for Craftyscrappers.

 We have a pop-up box card to share with you today using  Rang Barse stamp set. Pop-up cards are fun and interesting cards to give your loved ones.

Materials used-
Craftyscrappers  Rang Barse stamp set
Craftyscrappers Clear card elements

Craftyscrappers shimmer paste- Jingle bells
White card stock
Colored card stock
Watercolor inks
Pencil colors
Double tape
Scissors
Ink pad
Fevicol

Method-
1. Stamp the girl, color plates onto white card stock with black ink. Color the girl using pencil colors.
2. Now in a palette, mix small quantity of shimmer paste and desired watercolor inks. This will give you colored shimmer paints. Use this to paint the color paints. 
3. Use a paint brush to apply the above shimmer paints onto a white card stock, let it dry. On the back side, draw splashes and cut them out. 

Template

4. Measure 6.6 cm* 8.6 cm on a white card stock, cut four such rectangles.

In three of the rectangle sheets, make water-colored backgrounds using watercolor inks.

In the fourth plain sheet, stick the color splashes we made earlier in step 3.

5. Stamp the happy holi sentiment on a piece of card stock, cut it.

6. Stamp the small happy holi sentiment repeatedly using different colored inks on a piece of white card stock that is lightly smaller than 6 inch*2.75 inch. Paste color plates on a corner.

7. Cut 2 strips, each measuring 1.5 cm *10 cm, scoring at 1.5 cm and 8.5 cm.

8. Cut strips of clear card element-1 cm wide in varying heights and adhere color splashes.

9. Now comes the assembling part, adhere the water colored panels on three sides of the card where we scored.

10. Stick the large panel (step 6) on the front of the card where we did not score.

11. Stick all the elements according to your choice.

Now our pop-up box card is ready.
