Greeting card

Hello friends,

We are here again with a greeting card.

When given a choice between pink and blue, it has to be undoubtedly pink for me. Pink has been my favourite for as long as I can remember. I love pink in all its tints and shades. I simply adore pink for it gives a feminine touch and adds desired softness. I buy atleast one pink outfit whenever i go shopping despite knowing that I already have many. Such is my love for pink and everything pink.

We have made a gate fold card as part of fancy folds by Allsorts challenge. We have made the card in monochromatic scheme. We have hand-drawn a cute little girl with a bouquet of flowers. We have used some pearls to add glamour. This card would be perfect for any occasion.

We are entering into the following challenges:

1.Challenge #32 Monochrome

Mother's Day Card

Hello friends,

We are back with a new post which we have especially created for the coming MOTHER'S DAY and thought to combine it with a few craft challenges.

Today’s card is also a basic card done in “Black- White- Pink color” combo. Initially we were clueless about making it, but then an idea struck our minds and we went ahead with zentangle art. It has come out better than what we imagined. We were keen on keeping it “Clean & Simple”, so you can see as to why we have not used a lot of embellishments.

We are entering the card into the following challenges:

  1. Challenge #131 - Black, White and Pink
  2. Pearls or Mother's Day (where applicable)
  3. Challenge # 16 Anything Goes
  4. Papercrafters' Linky Party 12

https://thecreativetwins.blogspot.in/2018/01/beautiful-cd-rangoli.html

This one's really simple, with minimal supplies required;
  • ·         Old CD that you are about to throw
  • ·         Kundan stones/ rhinestones in colors of your choice
  • ·         Half pearls

We have created a basic design, but you can let your imagination go wild. In the centre, we have stuck a layer of purple ball chain followed by half pearls and added one more layer. Then, we have pasted pink rhinestones around it and again layered it up with half pearls and ball chain and they are good to go. Now decorate your home in style!

Kokeshi doll- recycled with tutorial

Hello friends,
I have always been fascinated by kokeshi dolls and wanted to make something similar. It calls for carved wooden pieces which I could not find nearby. But that did not deter me from my passion for it, so here's my take on kokeshi dolls.
I  have used old medicine bottle bottle as the base for it.

Below is the tutorial for the doll, so that you can also try your hands at making it for yourself.
Materials required:
Medicine bottle-1
Shilpkar clay-1
Tissue paper (patterned)
Fevicol
Acrylic colors
Paint brushes
Ribbon

Method:
  1. Take an empty medicine bottle. Remove the label and thoroughly clean the adhesive part.
  2. Mix the two parts of the shilpkar clay. Stick a portion of it for the head part using fevicol. Shape the hair too. I have kept it simple.
  3. Allow it to dry completely.
  4. You can paint the clothes. Here, I have use patterned tissue and decoupaged it. It is my first try so it has not come out neatly.
  5. Then paint the face and hair. Draw the eyes
  6. Cut out a piece of ribbon and stick around the middle so as to resemble the traditional attire- kimono.
  7. Leave it to dry. Your kokeshi doll is ready to be admired.

We are entering into the below challenge

LTCCB #22 - May Anything Goes
