Card using Spotlight Technique

Hello creative people,

Presenting you an encouraging card to lift up your spirits. Back to Basics has introduced Spotlight technique this time and it was definitely new for me. I thoroughly enjoyed learning new technique and applying it. Without further ado, let me show you today’s post.

I was wondering what to make using spotlight technique when I thought to combine some flowers in the creation. Come on, let’s all face it, nothing can better lift our spirits than a bunch of flowers. So, flowers had to feature in this card. And when there are flowers, how can one forget butterflies? I have added some golden sequins here and there to add charm to otherwise plain card.

I am satisfied with the outcome. What do you guys feel about this creation? Let us know in the comments below.

Celebration Card

Hello friends,

We tend to buy some crafty stuff with fondness and never put them to use. I am sure you would all agree with us on this. The same happened with us regarding the washi tape that we asked our cousin to get for us all the way from Denver.

We finally put washi tapes to use that had been lying in our craft supplies box for quiet sometime. When we saw the theme “Sweet treats” in Allsorts, we knew it was time to use those adorable cupcake design washi tapes. We are pretty happy with the outcome. We are in love with these cute cupcake design washi tapes. We are looking forward to use them in our future projects.

We have made a clean and simple card this time. We have kept embellishments to a minimum and drawn a cute little girl and stuck pink pearls.

Greeting Card

Hello friends,

We are posting after after quite some time. But we would like to be consistent with our blog posts hereafter and try to ensure at least 4 posts per month.

So back to today’s post, we are back with yet another greeting card. This one is a really simple card with few elements like quilled flowers, ribbons and pearls to add bling. We love how flowers add charm to anything. The flower is made using loose quilled coils and malaysian technique for the buds. They look classy and pretty, don’t they? We also adore the polka dots ribbon.

Today we are sharing one such ring that we made. It is a quilled ring, made using tight coils shaped into teardrop and stuck together using Fevicryl Fabric glue . It has a lovely butterfly design. We have added half pearls to give a touch of elegance and some bling. Go ahead, make one for yourself and flaunt your ring in style!

Birthday Greeting Card

Hello friends,

AGE is merely the number of years the WORLD has been enjoying YOU.

ALLSORTS is celebrating 9 glorious years of challenges. Although I have known their wonderful challenge blog for one month, it has been an amazing and pleasurable experience playing with them every week. So, this greeting card is specially dedicated to them.

We are back with one more of greeting cards where we have used quilling technique. Quilling is a fun way to create custom embellishments when you don't have one in hand. Don't you agree?

As you can see, it is a birthday card with a cute quilled teddy bear merrily holding colurful balloons. As soon as we hear the word "Birthday", immediately images of balloons, gifts and cakes pop up in our mind. They are a must in every birthday bash. So, undoubtedly, we have included the trio in this greeting card. We have added googly eyes to give it realistic look. We have also created a quilled cupcake appropriate for joyous occasion. What's a birthday bash without some gifts? Finally, we have completed the look by adding some pearls and polka dots ribbon in pretty pink.
