Pink Love- Quilled pendant

Hello friends

We are back this time with a quilled pendant. We made it three years ago, before we joined college. We made it using our first pre- cut strips, which was  gifted by our cousin.

Our first encounter with quilling was when we read in a magazine about it. We had no clue about what it was all about. It had some designs of earrings and necklace. We were intrigued and our quest to learn quilling began. Initially it was just me (Subhashini) who was interested in quilling and I started looking on the net and came to know that it is a papercrafting technique, that requires few tools and strips of paper. I had no clue where to procure the materials, so I used to hand cut strips of paper from colored sheets that I could find and use safety pin or toothpick as my quilling needle. And the idea of making designs from twirling paper strips fascinated me so much that I pestered my mom to buy me a quilling kit.

As I love pink color, I thought to make to make a pink pendant for myself. After all, gifting yourself and showering yourself with love is the ultimate way to happiness and ensuring self love. Accepting oneself as is is the biggest issue faced by many of us today.  So, indulging in small acts of self care is one way to ensure inner peace and happiness. Only when you love yourself can you love others. So, go ahead and indulge in some form of self love and pamper yourself...... Celebrate YOU
