Floral layout

Hello friends

It's been long since we made a layout, recently we have been making a lot of cards. To try something different, we made a layout.

We started with masking and stencilling using yellow ink. We then gold embossed flowers and leaved from Sweet rose stamp set, water-colored and fussy cut. We then did repeated stamping on the edges, using black ink. We then matted the photo on black paper. And arranged flowers to our liking and adhered it. We cut few circle die cuts from pink and yellow cardstock and stamped sentiment on it.

We felt the background was a bit plain, so we did some stencilling on the right part of the base. We stuck the circle die cuts and finished off by stamping camera and few other words from Photo Booth stamp set.
Ta-da, our layout is ready!

Wonderful winter

Hello friends

Do you love Sketch challenges?? We love them, especially when you can interpret them the way you want and choose any theme to work with!! So the other day, we saw this sketch on @createasmile blog, we found it interesting.

We wanted to do something different, so thought of using the word JOY, and replacing it with some cute critter. While looking into our stash, we found this cute penguin stamp by @createasmile, and found it to perfectly fit the bill. As we decided that we were going to made a Christmas card, so used this @createasmile Knit Stencil. Kraft paper goes well for Christmas cards, so used Hero Arts  White Pigment ink to stencil it.

As we didn't have any stripes pattern paper in red and white colors, we used quilling strips and made our own. We also wrote the alphabet- J and Y on green glitter sheet, hand cut them and stuck them. As we felt something to be missing, we thought of using a small star stamp and adhering it near penguin's hand. It now seemed perfect. Finished it off with sentiment stamp.
We are happy with the way it has come out 😄!

Rainbows leaves card

Hello friends

For someone like me (Subhashini) who doesn't need a reason to play with rainbow 🌈, giving a reason is like icing on the cake😁. So when we saw the challenge theme at Pink fresh studio this month as Rainbow, we knew we had to make one. We felt it to be a win-win situation as we could play with our favorite theme and also put to use our new Dies- Hello with botanicals.
It couldn't get better, right!!

Coming to today's card, we thought it white base, but we felt something missing. So we thought, why not use black instead, it went really well!!
Happy us😄

Gate fold card- Monochrome look

Hello friends

Sharing one more card using September release by Varada Sharma. You can check the previous card here.

Let's see today's card. It is a gatefold card.

First we cut out a heart from the panel. We applied shimmer paste- Moss by Craftyscrappers using stencil by Tubby crafts. Then, we cut it into two halves. The succulent was colored, fussy cut and mounted on a heart die cut. The sentiment was cut in heart shape. We pasted both the hearts on the fold of the card.

Hope you like out different take on gate fold card.

Clean and Simple card- MFT

Hello friends,
We have used our favourite and first stamp set from MFT (one and only, LOL)- Bitty Bears 🐻 for this MFT Card Superstar Clean and Simple Category. But I have read that in CAS cards, white space doesn't make white, it means any color. So we used black cardstock to make the die cut pop out.

Although we don't make much CAS style cards, we wanted to participate in the challenge. So, made this quick birthday card. Also used MFT Happy Birthday Die-namics, where we have added rainbow, some of you might know our love for rainbow 🌈
Tada, our card is ready!!

Birthday card with Embossed resist background

Hello friends

Sharing a card inspired by Sketch at Sugarpea Challenge.

We wanted to make a fun and cheerful card, so opted for elephant 🐘 and bunny 🐰 celebrating their friend's birthday🎂!! I (Subhashini) love embossed resist, so used the little stamps to create the pattern. Also, we usually use warm/ feminine colors in our cards, so this time we thought, let's use cool colors for a change. There's something about this sentiment from Sugarpea designs that makes us go back to it time and again.
What do you feel about this color combo?? Do let us know your thoughts.
