Hello friends
Do you love Sketch challenges?? We love them, especially when you can interpret them the way you want and choose any theme to work with!! So the other day, we saw this sketch on @createasmile blog, we found it interesting.
We wanted to do something different, so thought of using the word JOY, and replacing it with some cute critter. While looking into our stash, we found this cute penguin stamp by @createasmile, and found it to perfectly fit the bill. As we decided that we were going to made a Christmas card, so used this @createasmile Knit Stencil. Kraft paper goes well for Christmas cards, so used Hero Arts White Pigment ink to stencil it.
As we didn't have any stripes pattern paper in red and white colors, we used quilling strips and made our own. We also wrote the alphabet- J and Y on green glitter sheet, hand cut them and stuck them. As we felt something to be missing, we thought of using a small star stamp and adhering it near penguin's hand. It now seemed perfect. Finished it off with sentiment stamp.
We are happy with the way it has come out 😄!
Supplies used-

ReplyDeleteYes, I LOVE sketches!! Almost always start my cards with one. This sketch is fabulous and your card turned out so adorable!! The penguin is super cute and substituting him for the "o" was genius! Very creative with how you used what you had on hand to create things you didn't have (meaning the striped paper and the cut out letters). Thanks for playing with The House That Stamps Built.
